Fossil Beach

We took a trip out to Fossil Beach - quite literally, the end of the road. Josh decided to take Penny for a hike up the side of the beach so I decided to follow. Lauren and Donnice stayed down at beach level (specks in the first photo). In the first photo, you see their red car for perspective. This beach is somewhat typical of beaches on Kodiak - an inlet between cliffs. You see plenty of tide wash in that first photo. The second photo is a bit different view as our hike continued. The third photo shows the point (left side of photo) in the distance where we watched whales last year. We did not see any whale activity this year so we did not go back out to that point - plus it was a bit drippy. The fourth photo shows some of the flowers along the path. All of these photos were with my phone camera.
