Waco Eagles - 15

One of the eagles flew to a nearby tree just to the left of the nest tree. He paused for a bit, surveyed the area (probably checking on us), and then flew back to the nest. The first shot is the full frame of the camera and the others are cropped a bit for detail. I like the last shot with the head peaking from the shadows of the wing plus the great detail of the long feathers of the wing tip. You see the bird facing opposite of the nest when he jumps up, turns mid-air, and then starts flying towards the nest - all while surrounded by branches everywhere. They are surprisingly agile for such a large bird.
