Waco Eagles - 12

You are going to stop believing me about how rare it is to get one or two in-flight sequences in a birding trip. Here is another spectacular sequence from that incredible day. It is another approach from the valley up into the nest. The first shot is cool with such a great view/exposure of the tail feathers and powerful legs. In the second shot, the eagle is applying speed breaks and you can see the bottom of the nest in the upper right corner. The third shot show a last second adjustment to the landing path and the fourth is landing on the nest. Though an obscured view, the fourth shot is special as it shows the legs forward and talons open. How in the heck the camera kept focus through this sequence is amazing.
