2017 Robins - 01
It looks like we will go another year without the robins and cedar waxwings visiting us. These photos were taken 2/10/17 and were at the peak of their visitation to our yard. The best visits were normally on cloudy, dark days with little light for photography. The extra "bonus" would be me needing to get to the university to teach a class. Fortunately, I captured a few from this day. It's a good reminder that spring is practically here in central Texas.
Maybe these photos are a bit redundant but it was fun watching them land, reach down to pluck off a berry, pause a second rather proud of themselves, and then gobble it down before flying back into the deep brush only to return and do it again.
Thanks,
Doug White
