Boards - 02

I'll go back into hiding after this message. I hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving. I mentioned yesterday that I took a class on the stairstep board. That was the first real class I have taken. I learned more about bandsaw setup than I did on cutting boards but that was my intent. The board used a LOT less wood than the board yesterday. It is smaller and thinner than my boards. It also ended up more square than rectangle. I haven't decided what to do with this. For now, it is on our coffee table. I need to find where they got such white maple! The class focused on using a bandsaw for the majority of cuts instead of the table saw. I wanted to get more comfortable with the bandsaw and how it could be used in precision patterns. This isn't the board made in the class since my customer wanted a larger board. Besides, I was able to reinforce what I had learned in the class by building ...
